JACK MENASHE

Jack Menashe is the Founder and CEO of Menashe Design, one of New York City’s newest interior design firms. He is an entrepreneur with a distinct eye for visualizing and building innovative retail designs. In new business ventures, Menashe seeks to bring fresh and pioneering concepts to the realm by creating an experience for consumers.

 As a native New Yorker, Menashe launched his own career at the age of 17 with Bang Bang, a chain of stores, which was one of the first retail spaces offering consumers high fashion at affordable prices.  In 2003, Menashe entered the luxury sector of retail and opened Lounge SoHo, buying merchandise from the most fashionable areas of the world and housing head-to-toe couture necessities.  Lounge SoHo became both a staple for celebrities and stylists, as well as a go-to destination to discover emerging designers and trends. Menashe and his vision for Lounge SoHo received accolades from DNR and MR Magazine MRketplace, including “25 Most Exciting Stores” and “50 Most Influential Stores.”

With a career now spanning 30 years, Menashe continued his career with a multi-million dollar project in New York City’s Flatiron District, along the historic shopping area known as “The Ladies Mile.”  He designed and executed Chelsea’s premier shopping destination Limelight Marketplace; a three-story festival of shops with elaborate facades and varied designs that invoke the feeling of a stroll down a marvelous European street.

The most ground-breaking aspect of the project is the “turn-key” retail solution, allowing vendors – both established brands and start-ups – to open brick-and-mortar locations at a fraction of the cost of a street-front address.  Through a unique in-house business model, Limelight Marketplace reduced start-up and maintenance costs for over 60 retailers including fashion, accessories, food, design, art, beauty and more.  Menashe and his team supplied state of the art POS systems, technology, store build-out and maintenance support, as well as cross-promotion between retailers, advertising, marketing and PR.

 With a career in fashion, retail and design, it’s no wonder why Jack founded Menashe Design as a full-service interior design company that provides clients an innovative design experience and approach for the new millennium as well as offering coop and condo boards, DOB permits, landmarks, construction and execution. Menashe provides clients with a full-service experience of an eclectic, artistic and creative design aesthetics, while curating items sourced from around the world.
